Our Final Charity Event of the year was held in October at Hawkstone Follies and was a Fun Dog Show and various other activities in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Once again we put on a ‘Have a go at Nosework’ ring and this proved just as popular as last time with 30 different dogs having a go. Our youngest dog was a tiny 14week old Dachshund and our biggest was a rehomed Greyhound. We really enjoy running this and knowing how much our dogs love taking part in the Nosework its lovely to see other breeds taking to it also. Especially when the owners think their dogs will never pick up the scent! It’s also a chance for young children to be able to work their dogs safely and its very rewarding to us to see the smiles on their faces (the owners that is!)
We also had a ‘Meet and Greet’ with our Newfoundland’s and as always they did us proud being hugged and cuddled by so many members of the public.
Our group raised £29.74 and the whole event raised £700.00.
